Intagolf Bendigo Play 18 Holes In Air-Conditioned Comfort
No need to look up the weather!
Play 9 or 18 holes on one of the world's best courses at Intagolf. A great way to spend a few hours with mates.
My son Brad and I didn't really know what to expect when we turned up for our first round at Intagolf.
We arrived and were taken to our station. After being shown how to position the tee we had some practice hits.
The first couple of hits feels a bit strange. You line up your shot...and hit as hard as you can into the screen.
Bang....
The ball falls to the ground after hitting the screen and your watch your ball sail off into the distance (or dribble a few metres).
Once you get a bit of practice in, you choose your course and away you go.
We chose Pebble Beach.
After a hole or two is becomes a lot of fun.
How does it work?
Once you've picked your course you tee your ball on one of the rubber tees provided.
If you want to change the direction of your shot you can do it on a little monitor.
The monitor which lets you change the direction of your shot.
It's quite amazing how responsive the screen is. If you feel like you got onto a drive, it'll normally translate to good distance on the screen.
One of the best parts is the boost feature. These courses aren't your typical local course. The holes can be really long. Brad and I were given a 30% boost. This means every hit was given a power bump.
I recommend asking for the boost feature. It'll increase your enjoyment and quicken your round up a fair bit.

Prices
Instagolf costs you about $30 per hour (Per person).
Although it doesn't sound like much it can add up quick! We spend about 30 minutes getting warmed up and learning the ropes and then played 18 holes. It didn't take us long to rack up over $130 between us.
My tip? Start with 9 holes on your 1st go. You'll still have fun but you'll reduce the chance of breaking the bank. If you're playing in a group of 4, split into 2 groups of 2. This will reduce the time it takes to complete a round.

Opening Hours
It's really hard to find out when they're open. They don't seem to have a website. It's fair to say they'll be open at the usual times you'd want to play a round of golf.
We went on a Saturday afternoon at about 3:00PM.
Food and Drink
You can purchase snacks and buy drinks. It would be great to have a few beers during your round.
When we were there Instagolf were waiting to for their liquor licence to be approved. They may be licensed by now. Worth giving them a call to find out for sure.
